I have a huge, huge, huge crush on Adam Levine. I first became aware of Adam Levine and Maroon 5 with the song She Will Be Loved. My middle sister, Sharon Godwin Armstrong, returned to and graduated from Freeport High School after attending Niceville High School during the teacher’s strike in 1970. She was very active in high school, surrounded by many friends in her activities of sports and cheerleading. Read More→
My youngest sister Cindy attended kindergarten through 12th grade at Freeport High School. She was a popular student participating in the Marching Band and Cheerleading. Following in the steps of her older sister Sharon, she entered Freeport High School’s Miss Blue Wave winning the title of Miss Congeniality to which she self-mockingly echo’s her imagined sentiments of the co-contestants and the audience, “well, she ain’t pretty but she sure is friendly.” Read More→
My sister Marsha attended Freeport High School until the 11th grade and graduated from Niceville High School as an Honor Student. She left the beauty pageant days at an early age and went on to focus her attention on advancing in academics. Read More→
Family In The 1950s
This Christmas for the first time in years, my sisters, my Mother and I decided to exchange gifts. To begin, we put some ground rules in place. Each person had to come up with a Christmas Wish List of 10 items to include sizes, colors and other necessary preferences. There would also be a purchase limit but if a gift that you wanted exceeded that amount, someone could still give an earmark specifically designated for that gift. Although we set a very low limit, the fun really came into play by being creative. Not wanting to give just an envelope with a gift certificate, we tried to come up with ways to make it more interesting and make it difficult to determine what the gift was just by shaking, turning over and over or holding up to the light.
